Dear Universe

Having finished reading "We Need To Talk About Kevin" for the fourth time, I've decided I agree with Kevin's theory about why there is bad in the world. Without it, we would most definitely be bored. 

I mean, I know a couple of months ago I was frustrated at how tantalisingly easy it would be to create a peaceful, happy world, if everyone would just agree to change their attitudes a little, live and let live and so on. I honestly didn't see the difficulty. But people get bored. When a perfect world is built, people aren't satisfied to just live in it. Curious by nature, we instead feel compelled to test the boundaries and what is more interesting to do than tear this perfect new world down?

This world has bad in it. But as long as you keep it on your side, you'll be okay.
